The best mod in the history of Crusader Kings II (CK2) is, by far, the A Game Of Thrones (AGOT) mod. Because of this there are many people that need advice in the newly added mechanics that mod developers have created. The traits in the CK2 AGOT mod are abundant. From special Valyrian Steel sword names, to weird Lifestyle characteristics, there are many new traits added in the CK2 AGOT mod that you will need to see for yourself. So, here is a list of all the traits in the AGOT mod.

I am currently watching the Tully's and the Blackwoods and Brackens get their ***** handed to them by the dragons. Is there any hope to avoid swearing fealty? The Stormlands have fallen and half of the Riverlands surrendered without a fight. I have 8000 men including mercernary companies. How can I fight those dragons? Surely others have noticed how overpowered the Targ dragons are in this mod?


This is Crusader Kings. Swear fealty, then plot/marry your way to the top or build up a strong enough alliance and start an independence revolt. Or get your own dragons if you want to spend more time and effort for bonus style points.


Other than that, dragons are obviously supposed to be game changing. There is a duel event in which a character can fight a dragon and wound or slay it, so you might get lucky if you go into battle with strong enough characters. Be prepared for them to die a lot in the process.


I don't remember how strong Aegon's dragons were when I played in that starting date, but when I fought against Daenerys Targaryen as the Free City of Tyrosh, Drogon had at least 30+ attack, while Viserion and Rhaegal had 20+ which demanded my army to be twice the size of hers, so you should expect to need at least 3x to 4x Aegon's army size.


This is such an important biological fact on Earth that we have a colloquial term for it: hybrid vigor, where the biological (heterozygous) offspring of two parents with differing (often homozygous) biological traits wind up having increased functions over either of the parents. It is also a way to counter the negative effects of inbreeding, which reduces genetic diversity and results in more recessive traits manifesting themselves, owing to the genetic similarity of the parents.


Traits represent a character's personality, abilities, reputation, and physical characteristics. They can be gained or lost during events and education. They affect a variety of areas, everything from attributes to relations. Additionally, most traits are tied to certain events occurring or affect which options are available in events. Paying attention to obtaining the right traits is essential for a good ruler.


The Conclave DLC reduces the impact of the guardian's own education by implementing a focus driven system. Education by guardians with high-level military traits also grants leadership traits. Military educations can improve to the next level by a random battlefield event, while the others can be improved with random events from the corresponding focus.


For characters of non-Christian religions, the cross in the icons of learning education traits is replaced by a more appropriate symbol (a crescent for Muslims, menorah for Jews, triquetra for Pagans etc).


Children can acquire childhood traits, determined by their childhood focus, that will influence which education traits they eventually receive. Each childhood trait has several adult traits into which it may evolve during adolescence, ensuring that no childhood traits are retained into adulthood, as well as one additional trait that it can only mature into with guardian intervention.


With The Reaper's Due DLC, these traits replace the generic Maimed trait. Instead of being a permanent health penalty, any maiming comes with temporarily gaining the Severely Injured trait. Under the Imperial elective succession of the Byzantine and Roman Empire, having any Maimed trait disqualifies a character from the imperial throne. Maimed traits cannot be selected in ruler designer.


Genetic traits are randomly assigned at birth (although a few may also be granted by childhood events). Parents have a small chance of passing these traits onto their children. For strategies, check Breeding.


Crusader traits are religion-specific traits that are earned by characters participating in a crusade, jihad, or great holy war who have reached the target kingdom as a commander, regardless as an attacker or a defender. For example, in a Catholic crusade, a Catholic ruler can earn the Crusader trait even if he is called into the war as a defender to fight against Catholic crusaders. While all religion groups except the Dharmic religions have their own crusader traits, only those religions and heresies with established religious heads can call for this type of war and, within the Christian religion group, only an established Catholic or Fraticelli Pope can call on a crusade.


If a character on the receiving end of the trait is Zealous , the "-25 Zealous" opinion penalty will remain even though the "Infidel" opinion penalty is removed. Both characters will also have -5 opinion penalties for opposite traits (Zealous vs Sympathy).


Some methods of religious conversion have a chance to leave characters with sympathy for their former religious group. It is also possible to gain these traits through events: For example, a Christian pilgrim in Jerusalem can gain Sympathy for Jews and Muslims . Swaying a character from a different religious group can give a chance to talk to them about their religion, with a 30% chance of getting the corresponding sympathy trait.


These traits are obtainable with the Hellenic religion or reformed pagan religions with the Astrology doctrine. They can also randomly be received while inviting someone to stargazing or doing the "Study the skies" mission for the Hermetic Society. Getting the traits this way has no religion requirement beyond what is required to join the society.


These traits are gained by traveling to China in order to demonstrate subordination, as long as the character's realm is within diplomatic range to the Dragon Emperor. Those traits will be removed if a new dynasty comes to rule China. The Jade Dragon DLC is required to interact with China.


Germanic Pagans will start with Viking and others will start with Pirate, but they share the same upgrade path. If Holy Fury is enabled, these traits unlock special events when raiding and sacking. Characters do not need to lead troops to obtain any of these traits.


Enter the final battle for the Stepstones, aka Prince Daemon lying his ass off to set up a dragon-sized trap for an entire army. It's a masterpiece of boneheaded ideas that add up to a massive battle which somehow, somehow winds up in Daemon's favor.


Earlier in the episode, this plan was described by Corlys' brother Vaemond as only possible if led by a madman. Daemon is that madman. Once he's lured the entire army out onto the beach, Corlys shows up with the rest of his army and an unexpected assist comes from the sky from Corlys' son Laenor on his dragon Seasmoke.
